Day 4 :
No pictures here. Morning of Day 4 was interesting, however. We
decided to break camp and head for Page for food. While breaking
down the camp, the new arrivals were getting ready to attack the
trail and Dick was giving out appropriate information that they
should know, particularly since there some young men in the group
who would be lost in the muck without some help. After doing the
best we could with advice (a lot of which was ignored), we headed
off to Page. Stopped for gas and food, dropped Lisa off at NAU
and headed back down to the valley.
The trip expanded our horizons of the marvels of nature and
our own ability to press well beyond our own perceived physical
limits. Can't wait til 2001 when we'll do it again, but without
the time and distance constraints getting in the way of relaxing
and enjoying more of the moments.
